Under the auspices of the University of Tübingen, approximately 100 students from all over the world are working on their PhDs at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology and the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory. - Two former students from our program have recently been awarded prizes for their PhD projects: Marco Todesco from Detlef Weigel's group received the Wilhelm-Pfeffer-Preis of the German Botanical Society, Felix Tritschler from Elisa Izaurralde's group received the Promotionspreis of the German Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
